James Butler, 1st Earl of Ormonde (see here and here),
born c.1305,
mar 1327 to Alianore de Bohun [grand-dau of Edward I],
cr 1328 by (her 1st cousin) Edward III,
died 1338, bur Gowran, Co.Kilkenny,
had issue:

1. Pernel Butler,
   mar Gilbert Talbot, 3rd Baron Talbot and had issue.

   
   

2. James Butler, 2nd Earl of Ormonde (see here), born 1331,
   mar 1346 to Elizabeth D'Arcy,
   Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland 1359-61 and again (jointly) 1376-80,
   died 1382, bur Gowran, Co.Kilkenny,
   or poss. bur Knocktopher Friary, Co.Kilkenny,
   had issue:
   1. Eleanor Butler, mar Gerald Fitzgerald, 3rd Earl of Desmond and had issue.

   2. James Butler, 3rd Earl of Ormonde, purchased Kilkenny Castle 1391.
