built family seat at Lyons, Co.Kildare, 1797,
though family still had lands in Co.Limerick,
died 1799, had issue:
Valentine Browne Lawless, 2nd Baron Cloncurry,
born 1773, succ 1799,
imprisoned after 1798 Rising
for association with United Irishmen,
in 1807 he sued Sir John Piers for seducing his wife,
Piers seduced her for a bet,
huge scandal of the day,
Cloncurry won and Piers was ruined, losing all his estates,
