   2. Jean de Ferrers, mar Thomas de Berkeley, 1st Lord Berkeley and had issue.

   1. Robert de Ferrers, Earl of Derby, ancestor of Baron Ferrers of Chartley.

Capel, Earl of Essex

The title of Earl of Essex was recreated for the Capel family.

• Arthur Capel, 1st Baron Capel (and here),
  descendant through Manners and St.Leger of Edward III,
  mar Elizabeth Morrison,
  he inherited by mar the house and estate of Cassiobury, outside Watford, Herts,
  see group portrait,
  had issue:
  1. Arthur Capel, 1st Earl of Essex,
     2nd Baron Capel, cr 1st Earl of Essex 1661,
     Viceroy of Ireland 1672-7,
     Capel St, Dublin, laid out 1670s, is named after him,
     rebuilt the house at Cassiobury,
     ancestor of Capel, Earl of Essex, seat at Cassiobury House.

  2. Elizabeth Capel, mar Charles Dormer, 2nd Earl of Carnarvon and had issue.
