1. Sir John Fitzgerald, 1st Knight of Glin.

3. Maurice Fitzgerald, died in Battle of Callan, 1261 (ancestor of The Knights of Kerry).

founded Tralee, Co.Kerry, some sources say c.1216,
built the original Tralee Castle, which became a stronghold of his descendants the Earls of Desmond,
founded Dominican Friary, Tralee, 1243 (note he is NOT Baron of Offaly),
cr his 3 sons Knights 1259,
died in Battle of Callan, nr Kenmare, Co.Kerry, 1261 (NOT 1216), when the Norman advance was halted in S Kerry by the native Irish under MacCarthy,
bur Dominican Friary, Tralee.
