Listed as farmer, of "Cappawhite", at marriage.

He mar 7 January 1892 to Mary Kiely [Mary A. Kiely, or Maria, bapt 5 May 1860].
They lived at Ardnagassane.
See them listed in 1901 census at Ardnagassane. They are farmers. They have 3 servants and a nurse.
See them listed in 1911 census at Ardnagassane. He is farmer. They have 2 servants.
George is listed as "farmer" at death.
He died 6 Sept 1921, Ardnagassane [GROI], age 76 yrs.
"1920" on grave must be wrong.
He was bur Toem.
Mary died 28 Aug 1935 [grave, Toem].
They had issue:


  1. Mary A. Furlong,
    born Co.Tipperary,
    bapt 23 Oct 1892 [Cappawhite RC par records], sp Patrick Furlong and Mary Quirke.
    "Annie" Furlong, age 9, is at home in 1901 census.

  2. Ellen Furlong, Helena,
    born Co.Tipperary,
    bapt 10th Jan 1894 [Cappawhite RC par records], sp Patrick Quirke and Catherine Quirke.
    She was a nun.


  3. George Furlong,
    born Co.Tipperary,
    bapt think 16 June 1895 [Cappawhite RC par records], sp Michael Furlong and Margaret Cranly.


  4. Fr. Roger Furlong.
    He was born Ardnagassane, 15 July 1897, according to birth cert. Birth registered 28 Aug 1897. See birth cert from here.
    He was bapt "Rodger", 11 July 1897 [Cappawhite RC par records], sp Robert Frewin and Ellen Meagher. If this date is correct then birth date is wrong. (todo) See original bapt register.
    "Rodger" in 1901 census.
    He was educ at St. Francis College (boarding school), Rochestown, Cork.
    See him listed in 1911 census at St. Francis College.
    He became a Catholic priest.
    He went to America.
    He was priest in Washington state. (NOT in Washington, DC.)
    Priest in Arlington, near Seattle, Washington.
    He is not listed among RC clergy of Ireland in [Thoms, 1923] or [Thoms, 1929] or [Thoms, 1935].
    He presided at 1st wedding of his brother George in 1935. Must be on a visit home. He is listed as P.P. (must be in America).
    He did not preside at 2nd wedding of his brother George in 1939.
    He came home to die.
    He died at his brother's home, Marlhill, 4 July 1947, age 49 yrs [GROI].
    He was bur Toem.


  5. Margaret Furlong,
    born Co.Tipperary,
    bapt 10th July 1898 [Cappawhite RC par records], sp John Furlong and Margaret Meagher.
    She mar John Kelly.
    Lived Chadville, Donohill par, Co.Tipperary (NW of Donohill).
    They had issue:
    1. Denis Kelly.
    2. George Kelly.


  6. Bridget Furlong, Bridie,
    born Co.Tipperary, 1899.
    She was a nun.


  7. Catherine Furlong,
    born Co.Tipperary, 1902.
    She mar --- Condon.
    They lived Anglesborough, SE Co.Limerick (see map).
    They had issue:

    1. Tom Condon.
      He died in road accident.

    2. Maurice Condon.
    3. Mary Condon.


  8. Patrick Furlong, Pat,
    born Co.Tipperary, 1903.
    He wit his brother's mar 1935.
    He mar Dolly Godfrey, no issue.
    Lived Marlhill, Knockgraffon par, Co.Tipperary (S of Cashel).
    He registered his brother Roger's death 1947. He was then living Marlhill.


  
One of the nuns must be identical with a daughter Ursula Furlong, a nun.
We know this is not an extra daughter because 1911 census says 8 children born, all 8 living.
