Sir George Wombwell, 1st Baronet,
of Wombwell, S Yorkshire,
bapt 1734,
had issue:

1. Sir George Wombwell, 2nd Baronet, born 1769,
   mar 1stly to Anne Belasyse [dau of Henry Belasyse, 2nd Earl Fauconberg] and had issue:
   1. Sir George Wombwell, 3rd Baronet, born 13th Apr 1792,
      mar 1824 to Georgiana Hunter [born 24 March 1807, descendant of Edward III],
      inherited his mother's Belasyse estates when that family became extinct, to be precise he inherited on the death of his aunt Charlotte Belasyse in 1825,
      inheritance included Over Silton, N Yorkshire,
      succ to his own family's title 1846,
      he died 14th Jan 1855, age 62 yrs,
      Georgiana died 10th May 1875, age 68 yrs,
      had issue:
      1. Sir George Orby Wombwell, 4th Baronet, born 23 Nov 1832,
         Lieutenant of 17th Lancers,
         took part in the Charge of the Light Brigade 1854,
         succ 1855, inherited Newburgh Hall, the old seat of the Belasyses, in Coxwold, N Yorkshire,
         Adolphus Fitzclarence, the illegitimate son of William IV by Dorothea Bland, died whilst on a visit to Newburgh Hall, 17th May 1856,
         sold Over Silton 1866,
         caricature of him in "Vanity Fair" 24 Jan 1874,
         died 16 Oct 1913, age 80 yrs,
         had issue:
         1. Julia Wombwell,
            mar 2ndly, 1933 [in old age, no issue] to John St Aubyn, 2nd Baron St Levan [of St Michael's Mount, Cornwall].

      2. Sir Henry Herbert Wombwell, 5th Baronet.

      3. Frederick Charles Wombwell, born 1845, had issue:
         1. Almina Wombwell, mar George Herbert, 5th Earl of Carnarvon and had issue.

   mar 2ndly to Eliza Little and had issue:

   1. Charles Wombwell, born 3rd Apr 1813,
      mar 1stly, 1836 to Charlotte Hunter [Charlotte Orby Hunter, born 11 July 1802, descendant of Edward III] and had issue,
      he took the additional name Orby at marriage,
      he became "Charles Orby Wombwell".
