"John Callaghan" and "Mary Callaghan" sp bapt of Mathew 1897.
"John Callaghan" and "Hanora Callaghan" sp bapt of Catherine 1899.
He is listed at Upper Castle St, Tralee, in 1901 census. He is "shopkeeper". Not married.
"John O'Callaghan" sp bapt of Nora Stack 1903.
Listed as shopkeeper, Castle St, at mar.

He mar 7 March 1905, Tralee RC church, to Marcella Enright [born 1865, Co.Kerry, dau of John Enright, farmer].
She is listed at mar at Curraheen, Annagh par, some way SW of Tralee, on Dingle road.

John Callaghan of Upper Castle St, Tralee, is listed as "uncle-in-law" of Michael O'Callaghan at his funeral 1907.

John dies, 1910:
He died 19 Aug 1910, age 48 yrs.
He was bur Rath Old cemetery, Tralee.
Marcella is listed in 1911 census at 23 Castle Street Upper, Tralee, she is widow, shopkeeper.
John and Marcella had issue:


  1. (child) O'Callaghan.
    1911 census says she had one child, still living.
