John O'Callaghan

Proof of this line:
Denis of Australia's marriage cert says his father John is of Ballynabrennagh and Denis is age 28 (born 1844).
There is only one John O'Callaghan of Ballynabrennagh in the parish records in this period and he has a son Denis bapt 1844.

Callaghan listed as holding land in Ballynabrennagh Upper in [Griffiths Valuation, 1853, p.198].
John Callaghan (must be this John) holds 74 acres.
John Callaghan junior (must be our John) holds 64 acres.
From askaboutireland.ie.

John O'Callaghan,
or John Callaghan.
He mar pre-1822 to Catherine Dineen [or Dinneen].
He was farmer, of Ballynabrennagh, Ratass par, NE of Tralee, Co.Kerry.
Listed at Lismore (next to Ballynabrennagh) at son's bapt 1822.
Listed at Ballynabrennagh at children's baptisms 1823 to 1844.
He must be "John Callaghan" listed as holding 74 acres at Ballynabrennagh Upper in [Griffiths Valuation, 1853].
(todo) Try death of John Callaghan, Tralee, 1866, age 75 (born 1791), [GROI], 4th qr, vol 20 p 425.
John and Catherine had issue:

  1. Eugene O'Callaghan,
bapt 20 January 1822 [Tralee RC par records], sp John Creagh and Margaret Callaghan.

  2. Michael O'Callaghan,
bapt 9 September 1823 [Tralee RC par records], sp Maurice Collins and Catherine Slattery.
Mother is "Mary Dineen" but I assume this is them.
Must have died young since there is another Michael.

  3. Michael O'Callaghan,
    or Michael Callaghan,
bapt 6 Oct 1824 [Tralee RC par records], sp "Denis Harraghton and Johanna Almon" (probably mis-readings).
Father in bapt is "James Callaghan" but I assume this is him.
Marriage says age 34 but I assume that is inaccurate. Marriage has father as John.
    He inherited Ballynabrennagh.
    Living Ballynabrennagh at mar, farmer.
He mar 13 February 1866, Clogher RC church, E of Tralee (see map)
to Anne Brick [Ann, Hannah, dau of Edmond Brick, or Bric, farmer].
She was born Co.Kerry, 1838 (by age at death) or 1841 (census) or 1843 (age at mar).
At mar she is living Ballincollig, O'Brennan par (close to Ballynabrennagh, see map).
    See mar cert from here.

Living Ballynabrennagh (written in many different spellings) at children's bapts 1868 to 1877.
    He died pre-1901.
Anne is listed at Ballynabrennagh Upper in 1901 census, widow, "farmer".
She is listed at Ballynabrennagh Upper in 1911 census, widow, "farmer".
1911 census says she had 5 children, 3 then living, though we can see 6 children.
Anne died 19 Feb 1919, Ballynabrennagh. See death cert from here.
    Michael and Anne had issue:

    1. Catherine Callaghan,
born 1 December 1868, would be after grandmother,

in Ballynabrennagh in 1911 census, single,
      had issue:

      1. Michael Callaghan,

        inherited Ballynabrennagh from a cousin,
he met Helen Sallis at Ballynabrennagh in 1994.
