Garraunbaun House, Connemara, Co.Galway

Home (and then summer home) of Dick and Pat Lavelle from about 1926 or 1928 until 1945.

Garraunbaun House (NOT Garranbaun), village of Garraunbaun, near Moyard, W of Letterfrack, Connemara, Co.Galway (see map).
This is a fine Georgian-style house (built 1852), walled garden, top of hill, lovely view looking out at Ballynakill Bay and the Twelve Pins.
Not to be confused with nearby smaller 19th century "Garraunbaun Lodge".
