My ancestors - O'Rahilly - Contents

"Slieve Luchra", Lansdowne, Philadelphia

A handsome old mansion, on Shadeland Ave (which runs diagonally from NW to SE, see map), Lansdowne, fashionable Drexel Hill area, NW suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

"Slieve Luchra" was home of The O'Rahilly 1905-9.
He named it "Slieve Luchra" after the ancient O'Rahilly homeland.

Not sure if the house survives. It may be now under the large green area of Arlington Cemetery (bounded by Shadeland Ave and State Rd, see map). Although Shadeland Ave is very long, and it could be somewhere else on its length.
