Sir Joseph Barrington, 1st Baronet, born 21st Feb 1764,
founded, with his sons, Barrington's Hospital, Limerick,
they also built Barrington's Bridge,
cr 1831,
Glenstal Castle built 1833-38,
died 10th Jan 1846, age 81 yrs,
had issue:


Sir Matthew Barrington, 2nd Baronet,
of Glenstal Castle (see also here),
born 21st May 1788,
Crown Solicitor for Munster, succ 1846,
from perhaps temp 1830s to temp 1920, Barrington were landlords of Humphrys of Glenstal, Co.Limerick,
died 1st Apr 1861, age 72 yrs,
had issue:


  1. Sir William Hartigan Barrington, 3rd Baronet, born 4th Oct 1815, succ 1861,
    died 14th July 1872, age 56 yrs.


  2. Sir Croker Barrington, 4th Baronet, born 12th July 1817, succ 1872,
    died 4th July 1890, age 72 yrs, having had issue:

    1. Sir Charles Burton Barrington, 5th Baronet,
      born 1848, succ 1890,
      took family to England after death of Winifred 1921,
      died 12th Aug 1943, age 95 yrs, having had issue:

      1. Winifred Barrington, born 5th July 1897,
        killed in War of Independence, 14th May 1921, age 23 yrs.

      2. Sir Charles Bacon Barrington, 6th Baronet, born 6th June 1902, succ 1943.
