cr 1st Baron Buckhurst 1567,
cr 1st Earl of Dorset 1604,
died 1608,

1. Robert Sackville, 2nd Earl of Dorset, born 1557,
   mar 1stly to Margaret Howard [descendant of Edward III],
   mar 2ndly, 1592, to Anne Spencer,
   by his will 1609 founded Sackville College (also here), East Grinstead, W Sussex,
   died 1609,
   had issue by 1st wife:

   
   

   1. Richard Sackville, 3rd Earl of Dorset, born 1589,
      mar 1608 to Anne Clifford,
      died 1624.
