   (succeeded to his mother's family title), born est c.1610,
   died 1643, age est c.33 yrs, bur Christ Church, Oxford, having had issue:
   1. Barbara Villiers, Duchess of Cleveland (see here), born 1641,
      mistress of Charles II and had issue by him.

2. George Villiers, 4th Viscount Grandison, had issue:
   1. Edward Villiers,
      mar 1676 to Catherine Fitzgerald [descendant of Edward I],
      adopted surname Fitzgerald, had issue:
      1. Harriet Fitzgerald, born est c.1685, mar Robert Pitt and had issue.

3. Sir Edward Villiers, Kt, had issue:
   1. Edward Villiers, 1st Earl of Jersey
      [ancestor of Earls of Jersey and Earls of Clarendon].

• George Villiers, 4th Earl of Clarendon was Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland 1847-52. Clarendon St, Dublin, is not named after him, but rather after Henry Hyde, 2nd Earl of Clarendon of an earlier creation.
