Aodogan's book "Winding the Clock" (1991) is terrific. But there are a few family tree corrections needed. =========================================================== Page 3: Says that Michael Rahilly, who was evicted from Lisbaby and went to Killarney and maybe (unproven) to Ballylongford, was "one of the poet's nephews". In fact, he was the poet's great-grandnephew. Page 3: Says Michael Joseph Rahilly died 1847. Should be 7 Mar 1849. His probate was dated 30 Aug 1849 (date 17 Sept 1849 on outside of document). Page 3: Says Thomas Francis Rahilly was born 1847. Should be 8 Jan 1849. Page 4: Says Margaret McEllistrem died 1860. Should be 20 Jan 1866. Page 4: Says Margaret McEllistrem wrote to her son Dr. Michael Joseph at medical college on 20 June 1868. Must be 20 June 1858. (He graduated in 1859.) Page 14: Says Thomas Francis Rahilly was in the RIC. But he was not. This is confusion with his father Michael Joseph Rahilly, who was a policeman for a few months, in probably 1833. Page 48: Says The O'Rahilly's mother died 1904. Should be 4 or 11 Dec 1903 (sources differ).
