William Jones,
born 23 Feb 1849, Drummal, Co.Fermanagh, Ireland.
He and his parents emigrated to Australia 1867.
He mar 14 March 1877 to Elizabeth Marshall [born 14 Jan 1855].
Superintendent of Victorian Deaf and Dumb Institution, 1888 to 1902:
In 1888, William and Elizabeth became Superintendent and Matron at Victorian Deaf and Dumb Institution, Melbourne.
William was Superintendent until his death.
He died suddenly, Melbourne, 27 March 1902, age 53 yrs.
He was bur St. Kilda Cemetery, Melbourne. See findagrave.
Elizabeth died 7 Feb 1936, age 81 yrs.
She was bur St. Kilda Cemetery, Melbourne. See findagrave.
They had issue:


  1. Eleanor Jones,
    born 1878.
    She mar 1905 to Sir John Newman-Morris [born 1879].
    He was a medical practitioner and humanitarian.

    She died 1949.
    He died 1957.
    They had issue:

    1. Sir Geoffrey Newman-Morris,
      born 1909.
      He was a surgeon and humanitarian.
