Arthur Gibbon


Arthur Gibbon,
or Gibbons.
Lived at Torry, just outside Aberdeen.
"Arthur Gibbons" was "cautioner" for the marriage of his sister Margaret to Thomas Innes in 1731.
"Arthur Gibbons Younger" sp bapt of his niece Anna Gibbon, Nigg, 23 Sept 1733. He is carpenter, of Torry, Aberdeen.
"Arthur Gibbons Younger" sp bapt of his nephew William Gibbon at Nigg, 26 May 1734.
"Arthur Gibbons, carpenter in Torry" witnessed his sister Ann's marriage 1737.
"Arthur Gibbon" witnessed the bapt of his nephew Robert Gibbon 1755.


He might be the same as the following Arthur, father of two sons in 1721.
Unless this is his father, and these are his younger brothers.
These 1721 baptisms are the first dated events in the family tree. Except we are not sure where they fit in.

had issue:

  1. George Gibbon,
    must be twin,
    bapt with his brother, 25 June 1721 [St.Fittick's, Nigg Bay].

  2. Peter Gibbon,
    must be twin,
    bapt with his brother, 25 June 1721 [St.Fittick's, Nigg Bay].
