Single page of notes on Skene by Barbara Yates Gibbon

The entire descent of Yeats (and hence Gibbon) from Skene (and hence the Kings of Scotland) comes from this single page of notes by Barbara Yates Gibbon.

Although [Munro, 1897] does show that in 1897 "William F. Gibbon, Pershore" was known to be a "descendant of Katherine Skene and David Ædie".

It can clearly be seen that we are talking about Sir George Skene, Knt., Provost of Aberdeen, and his niece Katharine Skene, who married David Ædie and had issue, Barbara Ædie, who married John Leslie and had issue, Elizabeth Leslie, who married Alexander Yeats and had issue.
