Single page of notes on Skene by Barbara Yates Gibbon

The descent of Gibbon through Yeats from Skene (and hence the Kings of Scotland) can be worked out from this single page of notes by Barbara Yates Gibbon.

Although [Munro, 1897] also provides independent evidence. It says that William Forbes Gibbon is a descendant of Katherine Skene and David Ædie.

It can clearly be seen that we are talking about Sir George Skene, Knt., Provost of Aberdeen, and his niece (not sister) Katharine Skene, who married David Ædie and had issue, Barbara Ædie, who married John Leslie and had issue, Elizabeth Leslie, who married Alexander Yeats and had issue, Barbara Yeats, who married Capt. Robert Gibbon.
