John Holcroft,
of Holcroft Hall, Lancashire (E of Culcheth).
He mar Margaret Massey [dau of Hamnett or Hamlet Massey].
They had issue:

1. Margaret Holcroft.
   She mar James Gerard and had issue.

   
   

2. Sir John Holcroft,
   born before 1498.
   He mar before 1519 to Anne Standish [dau of Ralph Standish by his wife Alice Harrington, dau of Sir James Harrington].
   Wonder if related to these Harringtons.
   He made his will on 2 December 1559.
   He died 1560.
   He was buried at Newchurch, Culcheth.
   Sir John and Anne had issue:

      of Holcroft, Lancashire,
      mar Dorothy Bold,
      had issue:

      
      

      1. Alice Holcroft.
         She mar Sir Edward Fitton, the younger [born c.1548] and had issue.
