Died at sea, 1917:
He died Nov 1917 in the sinking of
the
SS Umgeni.
He was age 28 yrs.
During WWI, the
Umgeni was taken over by the Admiralty as a supply ship.
It left the
Clyde
on 7 Nov 1917,
in a convoy
bound for
Lagos, Nigeria.
Travelling W of Ireland,
the convoy hit bad weather
on 9 Nov 1917
and was dispersed.
The
Umgeni was not seen after that date.
Bodies thought to be that of some of the crew were later washed up on the W coast of Ireland.

There were claims she was torpedoed
but there is no evidence of this. Most likely she sank in the
bad weather W of Ireland.

Claudia mar 2ndly, 1920, London, to Lionel Percy Kent [L.P. Kent, "Bob"].
They had a child that died in infancy.
Bob was a coffee planter. He had a coffee estate at Doddengudda,
Mysore, S India.
He was
the creator of Kent coffee,
one of the main types of coffee in India.
Claudia and Angela joined him at Doddengudda in 1920.
Family moved to Somerset in 1926.
They lived Somerset. Bob divided his time between Somerset and managing his estate at Doddengudda.
Bob died at Madras, 1944.
Claudia mar 3rdly, 1949, to Lionel Charles Morgan [nephew of Bob, son of his sister].
Lionel was also a coffee planter.
Claudia died Nairobi, 1979.
Lionel remarried and died 1997.
Vincent and Claudia had issue:

She mar 1952 to Hans Trueb [Hans Alfred Trueb,
born Zurich, Switzerland, 1922].
He was a coffee planter in India for Volkart Brothers.
They married in Bangalore.
They lived at the Lowlands Bungalow in Mangalore, where Hans managed the
Volkart Brothers coffee curing plant.
Angela was a collector of the religious sculpture and art of India.
In 1967 Volkart Brothers withdrew from South India.
The family moved to New Delhi, where
Hans worked for Nestlé.
They retired to Switzerland 1983.
He died Uerikon,
Lake Zurich, 1985.
She died Zurich, 1991.
They had issue:
- Claudia Trueb, mar Andrew Burn and had issue.
- Paul Trueb.
