She mar 1stly, 21 January 1904, Tralee RC church, to Michael O'Callaghan [farmer, son of John O'Callaghan, farmer].

He is listed at mar as widower, of "Killahan" (would be Tonaknock), N of Abbeydorney, Co.Kerry.
This would be him and his 1st wife listed at Tonaknock in 1901 census.

Mary came to his farm at Tonaknock.
Michael is listed as farmer, of Tonaknock, at dau's birth 1905.
He is listed at death as of Tonaknock, Killahan par, N of Abbeydorney, Co.Kerry.
He died 10 Apr 1907.
Funeral 12 Apr 1907, bur O'Brennan Cemetery, near Tralee.

She had issue by 1st husband:

She mar 2ndly, 26 Feb 1908, Abbeydorney RC church, to John Dowling [or Dooling, son of Tom Dowling, farmer].
She is farmer, living Tonaknock at mar. He is farmer, of illegible.

They are living Tonaknock at son's birth 1909. John is "farmer".
Mary is listed at Tonaknock in 1911 census. She is farmer. She has one house servant and 2 farm servants. Her 3 children with her, but husband not there. Oddly she is listed as "single".
She had issue by 2nd husband:


  1. Patrick Dowling,
    born 1 Feb 1909, Tonaknock.

    He is at home in 1911 census.


Mary emigrated to Australia.
See [Joan Tangney notes] about her "Aunty Mary" in Sydney.
[Joan Tangney notes] say Mary lived on City Road, Sydney (see map). She ran a cafe on City Road near Broadway.
She also ran a cafe in Bathurst St (see map).
Later she ran a cafe at Glebe Point road, Glebe, Sydney (see map). Joan (born 1928) worked for her in her cafe. Would be 1940s.
[Joan Tangney] said Mary married --- Hazlitt and had a dau June. Must be a 3rd marriage.
