His brother John's letter 1876 says Peter has married: "my brother Peter has left me now to myself, he having got married." This is strange. Was there an earlier marriage?
In 1881 census he is unmarried, living with sister Emma in Hunter St, Liverpool. He is a "carter".
At mar 1882 he is "bachelor", "carter", living Warren St, Liverpool.

He mar 1stly, 27 Feb 1882, to Emma Curtis (born Emma Mitchell, widow).

Emma died 1884.

He mar 2ndly, 13 Feb 1886, to Catherine Maddocks (born Catherine Hogan, widow).
Catholic marriage. See mar cert. Seems to show she was illiterate.
At death he was living 3 Blair St, Liverpool [burial record].
He died Mar 1915, age 62 yrs.
He was bur 21 Mar 1915, Ford RC cemetery, Liverpool. See burial entry. Grave 1037.
He had issue by 2nd wife:
