Henry VII,
born 1457.

He
reigned 1485-1509.
He had no valid claim to the throne (having descended from the Beaufort illegitimacy),
but seized it anyway by force from the
House of York,
after his victory at
Bosworth 1485.
He then cemented it by marrying one of the legitimate claimants.
He mar 1486 to
Elizabeth Plantagenet
[descendant of
Aoife Mac Murrough].
He died 1509.
They
had issue:
- Margaret Tudor.
She
mar James IV, King of Scotland
and had issue [Scottish House of Stuart].
- Henry VIII,
born 28 June 1491.
Reigned 1509-1547.
- Mary Tudor,
born 18 March 1496.
England under the young Henry VIII
was at war with France in
1512 and 1513.
After a peace treaty, Henry's sister was married to the King of France.
She mar 1stly, 9 October 1514,
to Louis XII, King of France.
He died 1 Jan 1515.
She mar 2ndly, 3 March 1515, to
Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk and had issue.
