he mar 2ndly, 1396, to Joan de Beaufort
[born c.1379, grand-dau of Edward III],
cr Earl 1397,
supported his brother-in-law Henry IV's seizure of power 1399,
appears in the plays Henry IV, part 1
and Henry IV, part 2
and Henry V
by Shakespeare,
the play Henry V has him at Agincourt 1415,
but it confuses him and
Warwick
in different versions,
in reality, Westmoreland remained in England during Henry V's
French campaign, while Warwick did fight in France,
died 1425, age 62 yrs,
bur St. Mary's Church, Staindrop,
County Durham,
Joan died 13th Nov 1440, age c.61 yrs, bur
Lincoln Cathedral
with
her mother,
had issue by 2nd wife:
- Richard Neville, 1st Earl of Salisbury, born 1400.
