Shea


John Shea,
born 1817 (by age in census).
He mar Ellen Eagar [born est c.1817].
She was apparently Catholic. Children were Catholic.
At son's bapt 1835 they are living Listry, Kilbonane par, Co.Kerry (SE of Milltown).
They lived Kilnabrack, Glanbehy par, Co.Kerry. In Irish this is "Cill na mBreac", which led to it being written as "Kilnamrack".
Living Kilnabrack as at dau's bapt 1844.
Ellen died pre-1901.
John is listed in 1901 census at his daughter's house in Kilnabrack Lower. He is widower, farmer.
John and Ellen had issue:


  1. John Shea,
    bapt 26 Oct 1835, Milltown RC church, Co.Kerry.

  2. Margaret Shea,
    bapt 22 November 1844 [Glenbeigh RC church].
    See entry from here.
    She is NOT the Margaret Shea who married Timothy Gallivan in 1869 (wrong father).
    She is NOT the Margaret Shea who married John Sullivan in 1865 (wrong father).
    She is NOT the Margaret Shea who married Timothy O'Connor in 1874 (should be living Kilnabrack).


  3. Catherine Shea,
    Katie, Kate, born 1856.
    Living Kilnabrack at mar.
    She mar 16 Feb 1878 to John Riordan.
    They are listed in 1901 census at Kilnabrack Lower. Her widowed father with them.
    They had issue:

    1. Catherine Riordan, born 1895.
      She mar John Sullivan and had issue:

      1. Catherine Geraldine Sullivan, born 1930.
        She mar --- Mullady and had issue:

        1. C. Mullady.
          DNA match to (Blennerhassett Cashel family): Donal Duggan and Mitrina Ryall and Frank McGrath.
          DNA match to (Cashel of Alaska): David Price.
