Genealogy research by Mark Humphrys.
The pub has a sign on it saying "est 1837".
P.V. Muldowney
is listed as running the pub here
in
[Thom's]
from 1890 to his death in 1928.
After marriage in 1899, he did not live at the pub. The family home was elsewhere.
After his death in 1928, his sons
Paddy and Joe Muldowney ran the pub for decades.
The pub is listed as Muldowney's
in
[Thom's]
up to
1972.
The pub
was
sold by the Muldowneys
c.1972.
It became
"Carrigans" pub, 72-74 Old Kilmainham, Dublin 8.
It is now derelict.
There is a plan to demolish it.

I have spent a great deal of time and money on this research.
Research involves travel and many expenses.
Some research "things to do"
are not done for years, because I do not have the money to do them.
