1st Earl of Douglas, is ancestor of
Earls and Marquesses and Dukes of Queensberry,

Oscar Wilde.
In 1895, his father called Wilde a sodomite.
Wilde stupidly sued him for libel.
The case ruined Wilde.
He ended up charged with homosexual acts (then illegal).
Wilde defended "The love that dares not speak its name",
but he couldn't change the law and got two years in jail.
