He was beheaded on Tower Hill, London, 21 Sept 1397.
He was buried in the church of the Augustin Friars, Bread Street, London.
He had issue by 1st wife:

Elizabeth Fitzalan.
She mar 2ndly to Thomas Mowbray, 1st Duke of Norfolk and had issue.
She mar 3rdly to Sir Robert Gousell and had issue:
1. Elizabeth Goushill, mar Sir Robert Wingfield and had issue.
2. Joan Goushill, mar Thomas Stanley, 1st Baron Stanley and had issue:
  1. Margaret Stanley, mar Sir William Troutbeck and had issue:
    1. Jane Troutbeck, mar Sir William Griffith and had issue.
