Michael Gleeson.
Crown Solicitor for North Tipperary.
Lived 21 Summerhill, Nenagh, Co.Tipperary.

    Dermot Florence Gleeson, born 10 Dec 1896, Summerhill, Nenagh.
    He was educ at Mungret and UCD. Became a solicitor.
    Listed as "solicitor" at mar, living Nenagh.
    He mar 8 November 1921 to Aileen O'Dwyer [born 2 Aug 1894].
    He became a District Justice (district judge) in 1922.
    In 1925 he bought Carnelly House (built around 1744), SE of Clarecastle, SE of Ennis, Co.Clare.

    He was also a historian. Apparently got a doctorate. He is referred to as "Dr. Dermot F. Gleeson".

    Author of The Last Lords of Ormond (1938).
    Author of [Gleeson, 1952].
    Author of A History of the Diocese of Killaloe (1962).
    He died in 1962, while attending a function in Bunratty Castle.
    He died 22 Sept 1962, age 65 yrs.
