An 18th century origin pub on Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook, Co.Dublin.
Listed as Kennedy's pub, 22-24 Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook, in [Thoms, 1914].

Jack Lloyd took it over in 1939. His father bought it for him for his marriage that year.
Jack ran it as "John G. Lloyd", 22-24 Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook, Co.Dublin.

The pub was bought by Gerry Kiely in 1945.
It became Kiely's pub, Donnybrook.
It is listed as "Timothy Kiely" in [Thom's, 1961].
Later owned by Bob Kiely.
Pub is listed as "R.V. Kiely" in [Thom's, 1973].

Sold out of the Kiely family in 1988 or earlier. Kiely name kept though.

The people who owned Kiely's of Donnybrook set up a chain called Kiely's Public Houses. Not connected to Kiely family. Just used the name.
The chain owned Kiely's of Mount Merrion.
It also owned the K3 (Kiely's) pub on Upper Abbey Street, Dublin (see 2009 street view).
The old-style bar in Kiely's of Mount Merrion had the name "John D. Kiely and Son".
The old-style bar in K3 had the name "R.J. Kiely and Sons".

Kiely's of Donnybrook closed in 2018.
It was for sale as at 2018.
It was demolished in 2022.
