born 29 Sept 1839, East Gallowhill, Alford, Aberdeenshire.

He mar 1stly, 4 June 1860, to Elizabeth Clark [born 1840].
They mar at Dumfries, S Scotland.
Living Forres, Moray, N Scotland (E of Inverness), as at 1873.
Elizabeth died 1882, Forres, age 42 yrs, at or shortly after childbirth.

He mar 2ndly, 13 Feb 1884, to Christina Robertson [born 1843, Killin, in the Highlands, to the N of Stirling].
She was dau of Roderick Robertson and Eleanor Whitehead.
Edward Teasdale and Christina mar at Loanhead, near Edinburgh.
Census of 1891 has them at Hillview, High St, Forres. He is "general merchant". She is age 48, "schoolmistress".
He died 16 Mar 1903, Gowan Lea, Forres, age 63 yrs, of "heart disease, dropsy, pneumonia" [GRO.Scot].
Christina died 1916, Cambusnethan, near Motherwell, SE of Glasgow, age 73 yrs.
Edward Teasdale had issue by 1st wife:

1. Henry John Noltie,
   born 18 Feb 1861, Dumfries.
   Census of 5 Apr 1891 has him living at home at Hillview, High St, Forres, age 30. He is "general merchant". Must be same business as his father.
   He mar 25 Jan 1894, Killearn, N of Glasgow, to Helen Buchanan.
   He reported his father's death 1903. He was then living 1 Mosset Place, Forres [GRO.Scot].
   He died 5 Feb 1951, age 89 yrs.
   They had issue:
   1. Edward Teasdale Noltie,
      born 7 Mar 1897, 5 Bogton Place, Forres.
      He had issue:
      1. Helen Noltie.

   2. Ian Neilson Robertson Noltie,
      born 16 Apr 1903, 1 Mosset Place, Forres.
