Jobe Shortt,
mar 13 Aug 1863 [family bible] to Ellen Mahanney,
had issue:

1. Harry Short,
   or Shortt,
   born 25 Feb 1867, in England, NOT in Ontario.
   He was born William Henry Short, or Shortt, though known as "Harry".
   He is written "H.W. Shortt" (Henry William) in 1911 census.
   Surname is "Shortt" in family bible and 1911 census, but "Short" on his wife's death cert and on his grave.
   He immigrated to Canada 1891.
   He was living London, Ontario, at mar.
   He was Church of England. Wife stayed Catholic. Child is Catholic.

   He mar 1 Oct 1896 to Mary Hennessy [Polly, Pauline, bapt 21 July 1859].
   She was age 37. He was age 29.
   Mary and Harry lived in London, Ontario.
   They are listed in 1901 census in London, Ontario.
   They are listed in 1911 census at 729 Queens Ave, London, Ontario (near Dundas St, see map). Census from here. Also here. Harry is "dry [goods] traveller". Mary's widowed mother is living with her.
   Mary and dau Lena are listed in 1921 census with Mary's aunts the O'Mara sisters at old family home, 69 A Dundas St, London.
   At Mary's death she and Harry are living 245 Emery St, London (see map).

   Mary died on April 27, 1945, age 85 yrs, St.Joseph's Hospital, London, Ontario. See death cert.
   Funeral 30 Apr 1945. She is bur at St Peter's RC Cemetery, London, Ontario.
   Harry died 7 May [family bible] or 13 May 1961, age 94 yrs.
   He is bur at St Peter's RC Cemetery, London, Ontario.
   Mary and Harry had issue:

   
   

   1. Lena Short,
      Lena Margaret Ellen Short, born 27 Oct 1897, London, Ontario.
      She worked for Thomas Albert Mara who owned "Mara's Department Store", London, Ontario. These Maras are from Co.Leitrim.
      She died unmarried, 8 May 1988, age 90 yrs.
      She is bur at St Peter's RC Cemetery, London, Ontario.
