Thomas St in
[Guy's directory, 1912, p.84].
17 Thomas St in 1912 is no longer the O'Mara house. It is the Gaelic League.
18 Thomas St in 1912 is "St. Ita's House" (must also be the Gaelic League, see the following).
Today,
18 Thomas St is still the
Gaelic League
(Conradh na Gaeilge)
and is called
"Halla Íde"
("St. Ita's Hall").
This basically proves there has been no re-numbering along the N side.
In the modern numbering, the numbers go up the N side of the street from 1 to 37,
and then back along the S side up to 59.
This compared to
[Guy's directory, 1912]
indicates there has been no re-numbering for the whole street.
From modern NIAH map.
Thomas St on
1887 to 1913 map.
The hotel (then at no.30)
is shown at the modern no.30.
This basically proves there has been no re-numbering along the N side.
