RMS Leinster sinking
The
RMS Leinster
was torpedoed by the Germans just outside Dublin Bay
in
WWI, 10 Oct 1918.
Over 500 died.
It is the largest single loss of life in the Irish Sea.
Among the dead was
Alice Fleming
(and
here),
born 1883 (by death cert), dau of
Christopher Fleming, born 1848,
son of John Fleming of
Nerano House in Dalkey.
So Alice Fleming would be 1st cousin of Elsie Ward.
