(cr 1541).
Seat of Oliver Plunkett, 4th Baron Louth (died 1607).
Seat of
later Barons Louth.
A large new building was built in 1760, added to the old tower house.
Louth Hall was modified in 1805.
Battlements were added.
Plunkett left in 1950.
The house was derelict for decades, and suffered damage.
Vandals damaged it further by fire in 2000.
Now a ruin.
