Publican and grocer in Tralee.
Denis O'Callaghan, 19 and 20 Upper Castle St, Tralee, listed among "grocers and spirit dealers" in [Directory of Cork & Munster, 1867].
He is listed as shopkeeper, of Tralee, or of Ballynabrennagh, at mar 1872.

He mar 21 Jan 1872, Tralee, to Mary O'Brien [born 1842, dau of Mortagh O'Brien, shopkeeper].

For probably her family, see O'Brien under "public houses" and "shopkeepers" in Tralee in [Slater's directory, 1846].
Mary was a widow, her 1st mar was to --- Cooper.
She is listed as shopkeeper, of Castle St, Tralee at mar.

Denis and Mary were living Castle St, Tralee, at son's birth Oct 1872. He is listed as "publican". She leaves "her mark" (suggesting illiterate).
They emigrated to Australia in 1877 on the "Hydrabad".
They had issue:

    mar Alathea Wood,
    had issue:
