Dan, fisherman, of Angus, Scotland.

He mar Margaret Paton [Maggie].
At dau's birth 1880 they are living at Usan, Craig parish (S of Ferryden), Angus.
At daughters' births 1884 to 1895 they are living at various places in Ferryden, Angus.

Margaret died 1906.
Daniel died 1944.
They are bur Rossie Island Cemetery, Ferryden.
Some of their children emigrated to Alaska. Some stayed in Scotland.
They had issue:

1. Jane West,
   Jane Ann West, born 26 July 1880, Usan, Angus, Scotland.
   See birth cert from here.
   NOT Margaret.
   She emigrated. Came to Alaska.

   She mar 1stly to James Lindsay [NOT Lindsey, born 1879].
   He arrived in Douglas, Alaska, around 1906.
   He worked at the Treadwell Mine Foundry in Douglas as a millman.
   He died 15 Sept 1916, age 37 yrs.
   He was bur Masons Cemetery, Douglas (see grave).
   Jane had issue by 1st husband:

   1. Margaret Lindsay.
      See letter of 1938 from "Margaret Lindsay" of Juneau to her half-brother Frank.
      She died unmarried, 1956.
      She was buried 15 Nov 1956 in Evergreen Cemetery, Juneau.
      Her mother and stepfather were later buried in same grave.

   She mar 2ndly, 4 Dec 1917, to Edward Cashel [born March 18, 1881] and had issue.
   They mar in Douglas. See mar licence from here.
   At mar Jane is "housekeeper", living 3rd St, Douglas.

   
   

2. Diana West,
   born 15 June 1884, Southesk Place, Ferryden.
   She mar 1 Jan 1907, Ferryden, to James Pert and had issue.
   She stayed in Scotland.
   Lived in Montrose, Angus.

   They are bur Rossie Island Cemetery, Ferryden. See grave photo in Scotland, Burial Monument Inscriptions.

4. Agnes West,
   Aggie, born 17 June 1892, King St, Ferryden.
   She emigrated to Alaska.
   She mar Sat 20 Nov 1915, Douglas, to Carl Johnson and had adopted issue.

5. Alma Wood West,
   born "Annie Wood West", 3 Aug 1895, West Terrace, Ferryden.
   See entry in tree by Jim White.
   Three daughters went to Alaska and married. She would be the 3rd one.
   She clearly changed her name.
   She would be "Alma Wood West" who mar 31 Mar 1914, Douglas, to Steven Stanworth and had issue.
