W.T. Cosgrave gives the fascist salute.
The Blueshirt
salute
is given at a ball at the Mansion House, Dublin, 29 Nov 1934,
organized on the release of
Col. Jerry Ryan from prison.
Ryan was
a leading Blueshirt and a member of the Fine Gael national executive.
He was charged in 1934 with an attempted murder.
