Caherline House, Co.Limerick

Caherline House, Caherline, Ballybrood par (S of Caherconlish, a bit to the W of Pallas Grean), E Co.Limerick. See map.

"Thomas Barry" is living in Caherline House (plot 1) in [Griffiths Valuation, 1852].
He is renting from William H. Gabbett.
The seat of the Gabbett family since the 17th century was a different Caherline House, at Lisnagry, E side of Limerick city (see old map). Now a ruin (see modern street view).
Perhaps Caherline House, Caherconlish, was named after Caherline House, Lisnagry (or vice versa).
William H. Gabbett is probably William Henry Gabbett, born 1795, of Caherline House, Lisnagry.

John Lloyd was living at Caherline House, Caherconlish, by 1867.
He died there 1906.
Caherline was inherited by his son Tim Lloyd.
Tim's 1st wife died there 1918.
Tim sold Caherline in 1922.
