Donnchadh O'Brien, 2nd Earl of Thomond

Donnchadh O'Brien, 2nd Earl of Thomond (see here and here),
mar Helen Butler [descendant of Edward I],
succeeded his uncle as Earl of Thomond 1551,
he died 1553,
she died 1597, bur St.Canice's Cathedral, Kilkenny,
had issue:

1. Margaret O'Brien,
   mar pre-1550 to Dermod O'Brien, 2nd Baron of Inchiquin and had issue.
   He was her father's cousin.

   
   

2. Connor O'Brien, 3rd Earl of Thomond,
   died 1581,
   had issue:

   
   

   1. Donogh O'Brien, 4th Earl of Thomond.
      He died 1624.
      He had issue:
      1. Margaret O'Brien, born pre-1583.
         She mar Charles MacCarthy, 1st Viscount Muskerry [born 1564] and had issue.

      
      

   2. Margaret O'Brien.
      She mar James Butler, 2nd/12th Baron Dunboyne [died 1625] and had issue.
