William Charles Lyon,
William Charles Playfair Lyon,
born 4 Sept 1862, London.
He was a Printer, Stationer and Bookseller.
Listed in 1881 census as living with widowed mother Lavinia in London.
Listed in 1891 census as living 7 Market Place, Olney, Buckinghamshire.
Listed in 1901 census as living High Cross St, St. Austell, Cornwall (see map).
Listed at mar 1903 as living 11 High Cross St, St. Austell, Cornwall.

He mar 1stly, 21 Apr 1903 [him age 40, her age 25] to Julia Falvey [born 4 Nov 1877, from Tralee, Co.Kerry].
He was English Protestant. She was Irish Catholic.
Marriage notice says mar 21 Apr 1903 at RC Church of St.Aloysius, Clarendon Square, London.
However there is an entry on 21 Apr 1903 in St. Pancras parish church (Church of England). Marriage wit by her brother John Charles Falvey and her mother Mary Ellen Falvey.

She died within months. No issue.

Julia dies, 1903:
She died Tue 15 Sept 1903, age 25 yrs, St. Austell, Cornwall, of typhoid.

Francis Falvey's obituary 1904 says "the recent death of his daughter, Mrs. Playfair Lyon, to whom he was deeply attached, affected him considerably."

William mar 2ndly, Feb 1909 [him age 46, her age 24] at St. Austell to Beatrice Warne ["Trixie"].
She was born 1885, Cornwall, dau of Frederick Warne.

They are listed in 1911 census as living Glenogle St, St. Austell.
Despite briefly marrying a Catholic, William was a devout member of the Church of England and was apparently a Lay Preacher.
They lived in Bristol for some years.
When WW2 came they moved back to (safer) Cornwall. (Bristol was indeed heavily bombed in the war.)
William died June 1943, St. Austell, Cornwall, age 80 yrs.

Beatrice died 4 May 1968, think NOT 1967, Devon, age 83 yrs.
