Richard Wilkinson.
He mar Jane Whittall [born 1842].
The Wilkinson House in Bornova was built in 1865 by Jane's father James Whittall on her marriage.
See [Kalcas, 1983], which, though, has the name of her father wrong.
Richard was British Consul in Thessalonica, Greece.
British Consul in Malaga, Spain.
British Consul in Manila, Philippines.
He might be Richard Wilkinson, born 1820, died 1895, age 75 yrs, who is bur in Anglican Cemetery in Bornova. Grave 128.
Jane died 1928, age 86 yrs.
She was bur in Anglican Cemetery in Bornova. Grave 137.
Richard and Jane had issue:

1. Charles Wilkinson,
   Charles Crosbie Wilkinson, born 1870.
   British Consul General in Izmir (Smyrna).
   He mar 1901 to Madeleine La Fontaine [born 1879].
   He died 1948, age 78 yrs.
   She died 1966, age 87 yrs.
   They are bur in Anglican Cemetery in Bornova. Grave 104.
   They had issue:

   
   

   1. Richard Edward Wilkinson.
      [Kalcas, 1983] lists him as "Mr. E. Wilkinson".
      He mar 1924 to Thelma De Cramer [born 1901].
      British Consul General in Izmir, around 1957-1965.
      [Kalcas, 1983] says he was the last British Consul to hold office in Izmir.
      He died 1972.
      Thelma lived in the Wilkinson House, Bornova, with her widowed sister Mrs. Stower [Kalcas, 1983].
      She died 1985, age 84 yrs.
      Richard and Thelma are bur in Anglican Cemetery in Bornova. Graves 156 and 223.
      They had issue:

      
      

      1. Charles Frederick Wilkinson.
         He mar 1stly to Denise Giraud and had issue.

The Wilkinson House, Bornova

The Wilkinson House, on the S side of Gençlik Caddesi, Bornova.
Between "The Big House" and the Anglican church. See map.
It was built in 1865 on the former site of the stables of "The Big House".
The Wilkinson house fell into ruin for a time, but is now restored.
It is now the cultural centre of Ege University.
