Warner of Co.Cork
Did Richard Yielding marry the dau of Simon Warner?
Richard Yielding
married
before 1738 to
Millicent ---- [many spellings of first name].
No surname known.
Millicent must be born c.1720 (by dates of children's births).
According to Wikitree
here
and
here,
Millicent may be
Millicent Warner,
daughter of
Simon Warner, Vicar of Ardcanny, Co.Limerick, and
Catherine Studdert.
No proof is given.
We do not even know Simon had a daughter Millicent.
-
It does make huge sense though in terms of names.
- Millicent Warner would then apparently be granddau of Millicent Rose.
-
Richard Yielding and Millicent's eldest children are
"Simon Francis" and "Catherine",
which would then be after grandparents
Simon Warner and Catherine Studdert.
-
The grandchild Catherine dies young.
Richard and Millicent's next child after the apparent grandmother Catherine Studdert dies in 1760
is a second "Catherine".
- The names are good evidence. But we would like proof.
- A tree on
myheritage.com
thinks Millicent is dau of Simon Warner. Need subscription to see it.

Thomas Warner of Cork
Richard Yielding the younger, son of
Richard Yielding and Millicent (maybe Warner),
married before 1771 to
Susanna Warner.
This is more evidence that Millicent may be Warner.
And then Richard and
Susanna would be cousins of some sort.
