Miscellaneous Gould of Limerick

Stephen Gould

Some trees on Ancestry have this Stephen Gould, or Goold, marrying 1793, Limerick, Protestant, as the father of our Bridget Gould and of William Gould (who they identify with the William Gould born 1796).
This is clearly nonsense.
But Stephen is a name in our family, so maybe these are related.

They must be Stephen Goold (or Gold) and wife Mary who are parents of:
1. Elizabeth Goold, bapt 10 May 1795 [St.Mary's CoI cathedral, Limerick].
2. William Gold, born 29 Jun 1796, bapt 3 July 1796 [St.John's CoI, Limerick].

of Limerick, gentleman.
He is listed on p.193 of [Pawnbroking report] as the principal making a bond in Limerick of date 20 Oct 1818.

Goold of Co.Limerick

There was a landed gentry Goold family of Co.Limerick.
See Goold in [Burkes LG, 1858].
Of this family was Frederick Falkiner Goold, Archdeacon of Raphoe, and Wyndham Goold MP.
A memorial cross to this Goold family was erected at Athea, W Co.Limerick, on 6 Jan 1863.
