Dr. Joseph Humphreys,
Served in WWI:
As at 1915 he was Medical Officer for
Bridgetown dispensary district, Co.Clare.
This was part of Limerick Union,
and probably includes Broadford.
In October 1915, he asked for leave from his position
to enlist in the RAMC
in WWI.
He served in France.
In Nov 1916, he asked for an extension of his leave to continue serving, which was granted.
He is listed as
Medical Officer for Bridgetown district on p.3 of
Limerick Leader,
16 Nov 1921.
Listed at Broadford in
[Thom's, 1923, p.976].
He was then a doctor for many years at
Rosmadda (near Parteen), St.Patrick's par, Co.Clare (very close to Limerick city,
see map).
In
[Thom's, 1929, p.832]
he is listed as a doctor at Rosmadda.
At marriage 1930 he is M.D.,
living Rosmadda.
Dr. Joseph dies, 1967:
He died at Rosmadda, 23 Feb 1967, age 83 yrs.

I read his grave in the 1980s as saying he died 13 Feb.
But after cleaning
it says 23 Feb, which is also what the death cert says.
He was bur with his
parents
at Abington.
Mary lived as a widow for 40 years.
She died 29 Sept 2007, age 101 yrs.
She was bur 2 Oct 2007, Abington.

had issue:
