or Dwyer.
Lived in Barronstown (Ormond), Shronell par, Co.Tipperary (NW of Tipperary town).
He mar Margaret Quirke [or Quirk, of Toem, Co.Tipperary].
At son's birth 1864 he is farmer, living Barronstown.
He died pre-1902.
She died 20 Feb 1902.
They had issue:

1. Matt O'Dwyer,
   Matthew, born 1859 or 1860, Barronstown.

   
   

2. Sir Michael O'Dwyer,
   Michael Francis O'Dwyer,
   born 28 Apr 1864, Barronstown. See birth cert from here.
   Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab 1913 to 1919.
   The Amritsar massacre was carried out by his men in 1919. He was not present.
   He was assassinated by an Indian nationalist in London in 1940.

Think this is the O'Dwyer house in Barronstown (Ormond), Shronell par.

• Confirmation that Matt O'Dwyer (Mary English's husband) is brother of Sir Michael O'Dwyer:
  • [Murnane, 1997] says that Dermot F. Gleeson's wife was "a niece of Sir Michael O'Dwyer".
  • O'Dwyer Clan event, 2000 says that Dermot Gleeson, of Ennis is Sir Michael O'Dwyer's grand-nephew.

• The O'Dwyer house is Barronstown House?
  • According to O'Dwyer Clan event, 2000, the O'Dwyer house in Barronstown (Ormond), Shronell par, was called "Barronstown House".
  • However the big house in Barronstown (Ormond), Tipperary parish, was called Barronstown House. So we are not sure that the O'Dwyer house nearby would also have that name.
  • We have yet to find an old use of "Barronstown House" for the O'Dwyer house.
