from 1947 to 1966 he was president of the Sanforized Company,
a division of the
menswear manufacturers
Cluett, Peabody and Co,
the Sanforized Company
held the patent for the
"Sanforized"
process to prevent garments shrinking,
obituary describes him as "a clothing executive who popularized the Sanforizing process in the 1940's and 1950's",
from 1954 to 1962, he was also president of Arrow International,
a Cluett, Peabody division that made
Arrow shirts and other products,
