Belview (or Bellevue), Ballyphilip townland, S of Croom, Croom par, Coshma barony, Co.Limerick.
Just N of Harding Grove.
Some distance SE of Rathkeale.


Seat of Yielding (or Yeilding) family, originally of Co.Kerry.
The first one in Belview was Richard Yielding. He settled in Co.Limerick in 1743. Not sure if came to Belview then or a bit later.
He is described as of "Belview" in [Deeds of 1769].
He is described as of "Ballyphilip" (Belview) when he died in 1770.

William Yielding is listed at Ballyphilip (Belview) in [Deed of 1772].
Rathkeale is on p.104 of [Taylor and Skinner, 1777]. But does not show Belview.
William Yielding is listed at Ballyphilip (Belview) in [Deed of 1780].
William Yielding is listed at Belview in [Deed of 1789].
William Yielding is listed at Ballyphilip (Belview) in [Deed of 1791].
William Yielding is listed at Belview in [Deed of 1793].

Family mostly adopted spelling "Yeilding".
Richard Massy Yeilding is listed at Belview in [Leet's Directory, 1814].
Richard Massy Yeilding died 1834.

William Richard Yeilding is listed as of Belview in [Deeds, Oct 1838].
In 1853 Christopher Delmege purchased the Yielding estate, including Belview.
The original house is gone.
