"William Richard Yielding of Belview" is witness to
[Deed, Nov 1820].
He must be
"William Richard Yielding"
of Mount Henry, Co.Limerick (near Rathkeale) who witnessed
[Deed, 1823]
with his father and brother.
William Yielding of Mount Henry is listed among the gentry at
Rathkeale
in
[Pigot's Directory, 1824].
Listed at "Rathkeale Abbey" at Hugh's bapt 1829.
He inherited the estate at Glensharrold, W Co.Limerick.
"William Richard Yeilding" is listed
in
[Tithe Survey, 1830]
as owning land in Glensharrold, Kilcolman par.
Proprietor of Limerick Herald:
He was proprietor of the Limerick Herald newspaper.
Described as such in 1833.
"William R. Yielding" is listed
in
[Tithe Survey, 1833]
as holding most of the townland of
Glensharrold, Rathronan par
(beside Glensharrold, Kilcolman par).
As proprietor of the Limerick Herald
he lost a libel case in 1834
taken by Samuel Dickson
(later an MP).
William Richard Yeilding of city of Limerick
is party to [Deed, Apr 1834].
It concerns lands of Ballyphilip (Belview)
and Glensharrold.
His father
died November 1834.
William Richard Yeilding of
Belview, Co.Limerick,
is party to
[Deeds, Oct 1838].
Refers to his marriage settlement 1818.
Refers to lands at Belview.
William Richard Yeilding of Stephen's Green, Dublin, is party to
[Deed, Apr 1844].
"William Richard Yeilding" is party to
[Deed of 1844] and
[Deed of 1845].
Moved to
Glenastar Lodge
on the Glensharrold estate.
His son Hugh, at marriage in 1849, is living at Glenastar Lodge.
Estates are sold, 1853:
After the Famine, the family sold their estates.
In 1853 Christopher Delmege
purchased the Yielding estate, including Belview.
NIAH
says
Christopher Delmege also purchased the Glensharrold estate.
Though clearly the Yeilding family held onto
Glenastar Lodge.
William Richard dies, 1854:
He is listed at death as living at "Glenastar, Newcastle".
Think this means Glenastar Lodge.
He died at
Ballinacurra House,
Limerick, 21 Apr 1854, age 54 yrs.

A few days later his mother
died at Ballinacurra House.
Mary dies, 1881:
She died 24 June 1881, at Glenastar Lodge, near Glensharrold, W Co.Limerick.

William Richard and Mary had issue:

as a landowner at
Glensharrold, Kilcolman par,
W Co.Limerick.
He holds a plot of 51 acres
and another of 64 acres.
He also signs the list as one of the Commissioners.
"William R. Yielding" is
listed
in
[Tithe Survey, 1833]
as holding land in the neighbouring
Glensharrold, Rathronan par,
W Co.Limerick.
He holds 887 acres, most of the townland.
