What to search for

If scandal, the mother might have gone away somewhere to have the baby. Child might be born where her grown siblings / mother's family lived.
If scandal, the mother may have used fake first and last names. See Lyon for example of fake first and last names being used for natural children. Consider parents' and grandparents' names.

Conclusion: Majority of CoI records that existed in this period were burnt.
If I had to guess:
- I would say George Cashel was bapt Protestant and was in one of these burnt parishes.
- If I had to guess I would say Killarney since it is near Churchtown.
- If he was born near Blennerville he would be baptised in Tralee and it would survive.
- If he was bapt Catholic it would probably survive.

St.Mary's CoI church, Killarney.
The most likely location for the baptism of George Cashel, if I had to guess.
If they had kept their parish records, we would have them today.
But sadly they sent them to Dublin, where they were burnt in 1922.
