Maurice Fitzmaurice Hurly,
born 1898,
of Glendalough, Caragh Lake, Co.Kerry.
He mar 1926 to Florence Morton.
His
father died 1927.
He inherited the Ms of
"Black Jack's Book".
Had it as at 1957.
A note on
pp.65-66
of
The Irish Genealogist
vol.3 no.2 (July 1957)
says he is
"now the owner of the
original manuscript of Captain John Blennerhassett which he has inherited".
He died 1960.
Maurice and Florence had issue:
- Maurice George Dermot Hurly,
born 1926.
He was educ TCD.
He was a Doctor in Africa.
Maurice and Honor lived in Africa.
After his father died 1960, they lived in Ireland for a few years.
Left Ireland in 1968.
Think before he left, he left "Black Jack's Book" and the Hurly papers on loan to TCD.
And then later they became a permanent deposit.
They went to South Africa.
They moved to New Zealand 1974.
He donated the Ms of
"Black Jack's Book"
to TCD in 1977.
He donated
Hurly papers
to TCD in 1979.
He died 1985.
He was bur North Shore Memorial Park, Auckland, New Zealand.

Maurice and Honor had issue.
